IIT Bombay has taken an initiative and set up an Embedded Systems and Robotics Lab in CSE dept of AJCE and is inaugurated on 30th November 2017. Eyantra team from IIT Bombay has participated in Valedictory function virtually and Lab Inauguration ceremony where more than 6 colleges have participated and connected at the same time of Inauguration. After the address by eYantra Team, IIT Bombay certificates were distributed to the GGI-eYantra team members. Two teams from final years got selection for IIT Bombay project competition and one team from AJCE got final selection for e-yanthra idea competition 2017.
Salient features of eYantra Lab, IIT Bombay:
1. A lab to promote experiential learning in Embedded Systems and Robotics Technology.
2. Extraordinary benefits for the students of engineering to develop their practical skills and strengthen their foundation for better success in future.
3. E-Yantra is sponsored by MHRD under the National Mission on Education through ICT program.
4. An initiative by IIT Bombay that aims to create the next generation of embedded systems engineers with a practical outlook to help provide practical solutions to some of the real world problems.
5. It is designed as a scalable and sustainable approach that addresses the students and teacher training – to create an eco-system at the colleges to impart effective engineering education.
6. eLSI (eYantra Lab Initiative) by IIT Bombay provides guidance and support for the establishment of the eYantra Lab of AJCE and also help in the training of students with live projects.
7. Students after completing their training and different projects from GGI-eYantra will be able to join e-Yantra Symposium (eYS) which is held in IIT Bombay every year.
8. e-Yantra Symposium (eYS) is an annual event at IIT-Bombay — This is an event to bring all those colleges which have set up robotics labs and through the e-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI) they could share their knowledge. The goal is to share projects and brainstorm new ideas for improving pedagogy and the quality of Engineering projects.
9. No registration fee is charged from teachers and students from colleges who attend the symposium.
10.Students of all branches of engineering even with basic knowledge can be benefited from GGI-eYantra Embedded Systems and Robotics Lab.
