A Transformative Partnership: Amal Jyothi Engineering College and Elmhurst University, USA, Seal Landmark MoU

In a momentous ceremony at the Amal Jyothi Campus, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially inked between Amal Jyothi Engineering College and Elmhurst University, USA. The collaboration aims to foster extensive cooperation in teaching, research, courses, and project development.

The MoU was exchanged between Bishop Mar Jose Pulikal and Dr. Troy Wanken, President of Elmhurst University, signifying a commitment to mutual academic development. The event witnessed the presence of College Managing Trustee Fr. Bobby Alex, Manager Rev. Dr. Mathew Paikat, Director Dr. Z V Lakaparambil, and key figures including Dr. James Kulich, Head of Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Elmhurst University, Dr. Juby Mathew, Head of Computer Science and Engineering at Amal Jyoti Engineering College, and Dr. Jobi Abraham, Director of Tabor Infotech.

The primary objective of this strategic alliance is to facilitate academic growth, innovation, and internships. A distinctive feature of the collaboration is the Master of Science (Data Analytics) program, allowing students to pursue their studies at Amal Jyothi for the first year and in the United States for the second year. Graduates in B.Tech, MCA, and M.Sc are eligible to join the MS Data Analytics course, with the provision of a Post Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for those opting out after the first year. The program also includes training for English proficiency tests such as TOEFL and IELTS in the initial year. Additionally, there is an option to apply directly for the two-year Master of Science program.

Elmhurst University and Tabor Infotech, an American company, are set to establish an Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Innovation Lab at the Amal Jyothi Campus. This pioneering initiative will enable students to engage in international-level projects and internships. The MoU is designed to promote collaboration between teachers and students of both institutions for research, projects, and studies. Faculty from Elmhurst University and software engineers from Tabor Infotech will actively contribute to training the students, with courses scheduled to commence in the upcoming academic year.

Dr. James Kulich, Head of Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Elmhurst University, Dr. Juby Mathew, Head of Computer Science and Engineering at Amal Jyoti Engineering College, and Dr. Jobi Abraham, Professor and Director of Tabor Infotech, University of Elmhurst, will spearhead these transformative courses.

Prospective candidates seeking admission and further information are encouraged to reach out to Prof. Tom Kurian at 9961321426.

This collaboration marks a significant leap forward in international academic cooperation, promising unparalleled opportunities for students and groundbreaking advancements in the field of technology and data analytics.
